Romania 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Having unwrapped the Westie, currently on an enjoyable road trip back to blighty , via Serbia, Hungary, Austria, Germany and now spending a week in Breda - before crossing the North Sea.

After 1961 km - mixture of roads and enjoying fast autobahn runs , averaging 9.66 l / 100km - quite happy with that. On a mixture of Diesel Plus and normal Diesel. Series 2a LWB Hardtop - ex British Aerospace that was then used in an armed robbery! not by me!
2 door V8 1979 Range Rover
A slight Subaru blip..
110 County 200tdi
R reg 300 tdi Discovery Aviemore - gone to a local enthusiast to be resurrected in Transylvania
2003 TD5 Discovery2 - now sold
and the 2 wheeled Range Rover - BMW R 1150GSA

and finally the big lady of my dreams... 2012 Westminster - gives me a smile every morning

Just did a tank brim to brim calculation with 50% motorway and 50% town on my 2011 TV8.

Computer showed 28.9.

Reality showed 25.3.

Works out at cost per mile of 22p per mile.

Mainly country lanes and B roads, occasional dual carriageway/motorway. Worked out properly, just over 24 mpg.

Not sure how accurate but, here is a current figure off my new 19MY SVA-D 565bhp. With 800 miles on the clock.

Went to Matfords Exeter for a recall, i know its a bit of a drive but the 3 Stratstone Stealerships in South Wales are Censored Censored Censored and it is a great excuse to stretch her legs.

Drove from Coventry to Milton Keynes in my 2011 4.4 remapped blanked EGR mixed terrain county roads. Motorway restricted to 50 mph through road works on M1 70mph on unrestricted stretches.

I know it’s not mega accurate but it’s still not bad even with fiddle factor for my SVA-D. Now have 1700 miles on the clock. Shocked

3.6 TDV8, removed EGR’s and remapped running on Shell v-power diesel. Trip up to Manchester on Monday afternoon returned average 36.1mpg according to the dash board display. This was keeping to a steady 70mph where permitted. The return journey was on Wednesday evening with a strong head wind, I reset the trip again and she still returned 32.7 mpg keeping to the same speeds.
Happy enough with that!

5.0 S/C normally averages 22
For the past few tanks just commuting over the hills in the cold, stopping to let traffic through it's 16.6.

However my commute is a 25 mile round trip so it's not a massive expense.
