Blanking kit arrived this morning and took less than an hour to fit it.. all went well with the encouragement from this thread and the instruction sent with the kit.

The last few warm days have seen my mpg go up to 27/28 for my work run which used to be 25ish and local short runs are now over 20 mpg so still happy |

I havent seen any massive difference... will keep and eye over next few days. you are lucky to get 20mpg.. mine sits at 18.5 mpg.. lol Current:

I’m reading so many posts on EGR delete on this and other forums and the positives and negatives provide for some very confusing reading!

Ive not seen any improvement on mpg to be honest.. Im just happy that my oil will be soot free and engine will run cleaner over the time.

It would take a couple of oil changes to see the difference to be honest. You will start to see the difference. Current:

If people are worried about blanking EGR and an MOT tester seeing it could you not just "sandwich" the blanking plate at the one end of the pipe eith the pipe still in position so it appears normal. I have done this in the past on non LR vehicles. This way even if an MOT tester was trying to have a sneaky look under the engine cover it would be almost impossible to spot 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone

Just follow the instructions no rush and be careful not to drop anything down the holes

A couple of injector inm balance faults a and egr faults and the odd restricted performance message
