I've spotted a distinct difference between the pipes shown in diagrams/pictures and my April 12 build's pipe in that mine has a join between the flexible section and the rest of pipe that continues to the turbos. I can't currently loosen the bolt but once I have an appropriate tool, the end section of the pipe will be removed to allow the o-rings to be fitted whilst away from the back of the engine. |

Its at the top end of what was originally a single pipe. I suspect the 2-section pipe was developed so that it could be guaranteed that the fitting into the block could be under no stress. I rejoined mine after tightening the spigot in the block.

My 2012 TDV8 is currently at Duckworth's in Market Rasen having a new oil cooler, alternator & n/s rear light cluster. I've been smelling hot oil for almost a year, last Sunday afternoon smoke started coming from under the bonnet. Note to self in future check for this stuff on Full Fat! --RiDDO |

"First, remove the air box that houses the pollen filter, 2x 13mm headed nuts then pull the whole assembly off. "

Take a good look at this hose joint whilst you have the bonnet up.
