No, if you put in the old key you hear it disengage the steering lock but the new one
|

the car isn't recognising the new key then ( obviously ) there must be a way of opening comms to allow for the the pairing of new keys though |

Yes it locks and unlocks the doors |

Have you tried putting the new key into the ignition then putting the coded key as close as you can to the ignition to trick the ignition into turning off the steering lock, then turn the uncoded key, then remove the coded key are voila your ignition is on and your uncoded key is in the ignition ready for IID to code it |

I have a 2017 BT iidtool from Dan. The coding part is easy it's just that you need to turn the key and I don't know

For push button start its incredibly easy. Takes about 30 seconds from start to finish with my IID tool. I programmed a new shape ( smaller ) key. The original key isnt even used. I now have a spare at home and in the office. Proberbly lose the one im using when im out now !!!! 2015 4.4 AB
