I decided to pull the antenna out to see if I could modify the case. I opened it up (and the one that came with the ULF I bought from Lukie). The two antennas (antennae?) are very slightly different in that the ULF Bluetooth antenna metal bit is slightly smaller (higher frequency?). New Bluetooth antenna top, old cordless handset antenna bottom. Note the very slight difference.
The new antenna. I might have to cut away the plastic on the bottom left corner to allow the right-angle connector to lay flat. The plastic locking ring can be rotated to fit the right-angle connector but it is very tight - as if the dimensions of each end connector are different. I can grind off some of the plastic antenna housing to get clearance for the right-angle connector. I'll go and take some pics and edit this post a bit later. Ron B. I just moved the pins needed to the new connector, old ones still in the old connector.

I've modified the BT antenna connector by filing off one of the alignment pins. I also modded the plastic case so the cable will lay flat. They now plug together nicely.

I used the bottom chart. I think the diffs around 18 pin front of car are the pairing button, so you could argue either way connected will work. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I think I have worked out why your diagrams above don't match my car. In mine, the microphone connects to the old voice recognition module.

I didn't have the factory phone in mine or the voice. The eject box is just used for the button so cutting the ribbon should not cause an issue. It's fed from the boot anyway. I would imagine you will have to disconnect the old units or they will be on the iBus still.

Yep, I'll do a bit more research. Not knowing what the wires on each module do is a disadvantage. Ron B. VK2OTC

The charts in my last post are what needs to be where on the ULF and what's in your car now should be in RAVE, so in theory sorry I can't be more help. It's worthwhile when you get there....

It seems it's all to do with the voice recognition module. Covered in this thread: http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic4537.html
