A check Coolant message has appeared a few times on my 4.2 s/c it goes away and checking the coolant level via the reservoir shows its on the max level, any clues folks???

new tank off fleebay with sensor is £24 as ive just had the same problem , I belive the sensor can also be bought separately

I had similar and the level dropped once and then the light flashed on a few times after. Radiator was leaking on the offside join. I was lucky it didn't fail completely as I had just left the Czech Republic and had to drive 800 miles home!
