AFAIK the onboard computer only tracks the last 1000 miles - which is why you may suddenly see a big drop/gain. Land Rover Addict

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Just back from a trip around the north of scotland on the "NC500". A total of 1346 miles from leaving home to pulling back on the drive and it managed an indicated 20.3mpg.

Having done some maths I feel its really nearer 19mpg but still not to bad!

70 mile trip to reading on the M1/M25/M4, traffic sticky so was somewhere between crawling and 60 all the way there.

Tdv8, not driven particularly gently! A good mix of all types of road and a regular motorway trip, better than my previous Td5 Disco so not bad really!

Scotland

Computer reckons 12.1, my spreadsheet of miles and litres reckons 11.9 so not too far off round town.

I have no idea how the computer thinks this translates to 380 - 400 miles per tank though. 2006 MY FFRR 4.2 S/C autobiography (Auckland Blue - 901)

According to my calculations my OBC over estimates by about 4mpg, is there away to adjust this ? Think my old BMW had a key combination you could press to change it ?
