It depends on how frequently you drive your car. If you use your car as a daily driver, then the Terrain Response will remember the last selection you made. From pg. 197 of the manual
That being said, the same page also notes
It is possible to have the Terrain Response system configured so that if the Grass Gravel Snow program is selected, and the starter switch is turned off, the system will not default back to the General program after the six hour period. The Grass Gravel Snow program will remain selected until it is deselected manually. Consult your Land Rover Dealer/Authorised Repairer Paul Twitter - Facebook |

Thanks for that ukrangie, it is time related and now seems to have sorted itself out! Im getting a set of Goodyear MTR's fitted next week so I expect that will be the end of the snow! |

My pleasure. When I first noticed it, I thought perhaps the car was being clever or it was temperature related. Paul

Just as an aside: MT's make poor snow tires (other than in snow up to your eyeballs). What makes a good snow tire is not big lugs but sipes (the little squiggly cuts in the tread - wikipedia has a good explanation). The big lugs on an MT reduce the amount of rubber on the road or on snow and actually make even worse snow tires in average 1-2" snows or on packed snow streets than summer tires. MT's can only help in very deep, unplowed snow. RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s (wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too) |
