Made 21.7 on a long flat trip. Computer not miles vs tank fill. Actual over 20 $2.32/gallon US mpgs.

Wow, that's around £1.80p for a smaller US gallon. Around a year or so ago, we were paying nearly £6 for a UK gallon, -that's like triple the price. With size adjustment.

I paid A$1.05/litre for 95 RON today.

That's 61.6p/litre or £2.82/Imperial gallon Ron B. VK2OTC

Guys, I'm showing 19mpg on my trip computer (I know not the most accurate of things) on my TD6, i only do mostly short miles in it (7 miles each way to work and back each day), does that sound about right?

Asking as seeing bigger engines doing a lot more miles per gallon Big Cry

Seems a wee bit low to me. I show 28.8 mpg in general running about, although mainly rural . Do drive fairly conservatively though with the odd burst to clear its throat.

Trouble is 7 miles isn't giving it time to warm up. John

Cheers Weegie

Would the not warming up fully though cause that much lower mpg? I drive similar to you, pretty conservatively with the occasional burst to clean her out

Just a bit puzzled at my trip computer compared to others readings

Two aspects about warming up. Diesel engines perform better when up to full working temperature and for a good part of the seven miles it will still be getting up to temperature. Also, as you know, regular short runs are not the best thing for any engine.

Depends on the type of journey you are doing as well: traffic, stop start..

The computer readouts on the FFs are not renowned for accuracy. Would be worth doing a full to full mileage check to compare with what you are getting on the readout. John

2011 TDV8 and over the last 12,000 the computer is giving me a 30.2 MPG reading. Varied driving though mostly motorway or similar and rural, not too much town/city.

Incidentally and slightly off topic, why can I only get £75 to fill her up, surely the tank is bigger than that? Did they do any smaller tanks Neutral Rolling with laughter

I was averaging 23.5 with a fair bit of short town journeys but I had a remap a few weeks ago and now getting 25.7. So well pleased. Not undertaken any specific recordings at motorway speeds yet but expecting good news there also.

13 mile journey to work very rural so between 40 & 50 miles an hour and trip computer says 22.3 when we went to Cornwall this past Sept 36.2 👍
