Can some one please help me as I am locked out of the car 4.4tdv8 2011 and I can't get in the battery seems flat! |

Will it not open with the key in the door... or... if you have a tow pack you can charge it up through the plug...

thats brilliant, now i might get up enough courage to lock mine, knowing that if i cant unlock it i still have a chance RR 2005 4.4 petrol

Had that type of manual lock cover on my disco it's worth opening and trying out also a good idea to use graphite grease or similar to prevent the lock seizing , coz you just know when it's needed it will be seized |

but you have a manual lock - make sure it works - (should set off alarm, just put key into ignition and turn on) .

by the manual lock, do you mean the lock in the drivers door.

Same happened, no battery and lock would not open. No alternative lock on passengers door. Bit of a fiddle but get a spare charged battery or power source i.e. another vehicle. Get under car and locate alternator. You will have to undo some body parts like the front under-shield. Take off alternator lead and connect to + battery terminal and - to chassis. This will set off the alarm for a few seconds but will also open the door. Then you can get in and pop the bonnet and connect up. |
