I think that someone needs to edit their profile... it defiantly says 2004 TD6.... Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I think I've spotted the problem...... someone, Pete, has titled it "2002 - 2006 Replacement head unit running Android"

Although not in your case, I think one of the problems is that people tend to put the date of registration as the year of the vehicle when doing their profile. Using the model year instead helps to get more accurate answers to a query.

If you are replacing the lot, or tapping into just speakers then you can fit any unit? Maybe the wheel controls may be a concern? |

Yes you can but you lose the "other" things the head unit does, the FBH timer, clock setting and fuel computer with the early BMW FF's and a whole lot more on the later ones....

I'm no ICE expert, all I know is in this thread and the fitting thread, as for which one is best you will have to research that yourself from all the adverts .... Pete

Nice! I specifically got a 2008 to get the newer nav/stereo. That was before knowing how you could update the old ones so much more easily. That looks great and very "factory". |
