I'm new here (This thread is the reason I've signed up!) and have just ordered the same Android kit that a few other people here have ordered, and was wondering if anyone had finally come up with a solution to keep the DSP?

I've had a look over MrKev's Arduino code that he shared via bitbucket - https://bitbucket.org/kevinblain/uk.co.bit...ew-default And was thinking I might try and get it running on one of my spare Raspberry PI's (or order an Arduino kit also)...

Does anyone have any info on how it should be wired up? - Does anyone also know if these unit's support USB hub's? I'd like to try and connect some side camera's up for parallel parking etc.

Don't think anyone has done it yet...

Has a dedicated USB for a dash cam, suppose you could put a splitter through it...

- A Raspberry Pi is a cheap $25 credit card sized computer that you can use to run simple programs (i.e. a script to send commands to the DSP to turn volume up/down, EQ etc).

Oh I was hoping that you'd found away to fix it with desert, I was going to ask if it was OK to add cream

Much easier to take the old BMW amp out and bin it, they only go wrong a lot and you can flog it for nearly as much as the Android unit cost.... Pete

As of yesterday I became the proud owner of an black 2002 rr 4.4 v8 vogue with lpg tank already fitted (wa hoo!!!!)

Didnt want to waste any time in getting a new ice system fitted. Telling the mrs its for the kids to keep em entertained .

The Android system ES9746A looks like it will keep me entertained. , is there a newer one?

Need some help before I make the purchase from Christine at Erisin

What else will I need apart from the Android head unit. I will be using it to go onto the Internet, sat navigation, watch tv, option to connect my android phone also.

I would like to have an amp in the car (enjoy a bit of bass) so if the existing one can be used great if not what alternative should i purchase?

I would like tv and rear reversing camera. Also rear head rests for the kids so they can play games.

I would greatly appreciate a list that I can provide to christine of all the pieces required.

The best thing to do is to read this thread and the fitting thread and decide yourself what you require, there is a new head unit out now that supersedes this one...

I wrote these threads to help people fit the unit and see what it's like before they do, I'm not an ICE expert, just a guy playing with his FF and letting other people in on it....

I don't know what other stuff Erisin sell or if it's any good, can I suggest you do some research yourself which could involve sending them an email and asking what's available....

I wouldn't waste money on a separate amp until you have tried the one it comes with it may do what you want.... Pete
