If you cut the loom on the car about an inch (25mm to you) from the plug and keep the plugs it can always be put back to stock.... Pete

You will need a unit that will fit a BMW E39, X5,or E53 they are 286 mm x 120 mm the other type is not a rectangle, I think that the top is bigger than the bottom Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

The best thing to do is to read this thread and the fitting thread and decide yourself what you require, there is a new head unit out now that supersedes this one...
