Due to not being able to do the red light check on the sat nav can anyone tell which fuse it is? I downloaded the PDF for the guide but I can't see which is for the sat nav or is that because it's not on its own and is with other items?

Thanks again all

Haven't read the entire thread but what year and model is it as if you have headlight wipers these can fail to home properly and drain the battery

Does your sat nav work?? and your confusing me, it's EITHER an HSE or a Vogue.. if it's a Vogue it should have wipers, you say it hasn't, if it's an HSE it shouldn't have sat nav....!!! maybe it's an HSE with extras... does it have a heated steering wheel and REAR heated seats???

If you download Rave from the WIKI that may help, there is also some info on finding parasitic battery drains in the WIKI... Thumbs Up Pete

***update***
I have decided to pull the fuses out for the dvd player (screen) and the sat nav fuse.
I will leave it until later or even tomorrow and see if it's starts up.
It was flat again this morning.

Pete.....
It has a heated steering wheel (not working cureentry, I get a red light when I press the button) and the rear bench is also heated.
I think the owner before me may have changed the headlights as there is defo no wipers.
The bagde on the back is just HSE. Sorry for the confusion

I had exactly this. Battery went from full to flat in about three days. Car electrician found the electric cooling fan had got a dead short. Fan replaced and all is well.

rangeseb, don't worry about not having headlamp wipers, when LR did the face lift in 2005 they ditched the wipers and went for a jet wash system instead Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Miggit.....
That's what I have, jet washers.
I wad just trying to unconfuse Pete and explain what I have on my FF.

Looking forward to starting it in a few hours (Sunday morning) and see if it starts. If it does then I know it's either the sat nav or screen on the dash causing the battery drain

It could be any number of things, you do know that there are 3 fuses for the nav computer? My nav head was going in to one the other day so I pulled the disc to stop it constantly trying to load it, clunk whirr all the time from the back, was driving me nuts! A pal of mine has had trouble with his FBH (Aux Heater) it keeps on trying to kick in, hours after the car has "gone to sleep". I don't believe that they go to sleep, I think that they just lay dormant waiting for the best time to strike Shocked Rolling with laughter Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

***update***
So after jumping the car yesterday and driving it for all of 15 minutes the FF has been on the drive. As I mentioned a few posts up I removed fuse 48 and 49 (dash screen and sat nav)

This morning the Wife needed to go do the horses so we fired up the FF at 6 am and...........
IT STARTED!!!!!
I won't speak too soon but either the problem didn't show it self last night or maybe by chance and advice the sat nav or screen was the reason for the drain?

The FF is currently still with the Wife so I shall be heading over to the yard to see if it starts again. Fingers crossed.

So far so good. So the FF started this morning at 6 am, afyer a short drive it sat parked until I started it again almost 8 ages later at 2pm and......started again no problems!

The rest test is will it start tomorrow morning when I bring it for a new battery or should I say the correct battery.

Maybe it was the sat nav that was causing the problem all alone.
