Completed Stage I of my reverse camera install on my 2005 (MOST, touch-screen) FF Thumbs Up :
- dash removed (as per the dash removal section in Pete Haylands’ excellent Bow down Wiki write-up “How to … Fit Android Head Unit to 2002-2005” http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic29219.html),
- Nav Screen cable (bought from this site’s Shop: http://www.disco3.co.uk/shop/nav-screen-ca...e-p34.html) connected to the head unit and cable run round to the side for later routing to the back of the car
- reassembled the lot! Whistle
All went pretty well apart from losing one head unit retaining screw down a black hole Big Cry , and the vanes in the one of the end-dash air vents becoming detached (fixed – very fiddly!).
Stage II (next week sometime) will be re-configuring the CCF files for reverse camera capability, then connecting up the camera to see if it all works. Then, and only then, will I decide on the install position of the camera itself as it’s a generic jobbie and I’m not sure what the angle of vision will be like. That’s Stage III …

I did this a few years ago to my 05 TD6.
It didn't work until I upgraded the firmware in the entertainment module.
Hope you have better luck.

Collected my FFRR yesterday, drove the 100 miles home, played with several gadgets. Then let Saturday nights frost do its worst.Today the big clean began. Stripped the boot out, checked lots of nooks and crannies, and cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. Darkness eventually beat me and I put the majority of the boot into the garage, looked the beasty up, will hopefully start the re-assembly during the evenings this week. --RiDDO

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Would count it as today, drove back to derby from London to derby after a mates 40th, got in at 2.45am, still feeling fairly fresh!

Would have been a breeze except for the fact that the M1 was shut and a diversion was in place, and the A40 was also shut! WALOB...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Had to take swmbo out this evening. On our way back heard knocking sound coming from NSF wheel. Pulled into a well lit car park area to take a look and there was a large bolt head in the centre of the tread
Censored Big Cry Oops said I, Glad i stopped here.

So out with the spare, jacked up the FFRR with the scissor jack Rolling Eyes, off with the wheel. Then fit migget's wheel alignment tool Bow down Bow down Bow down http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic28013.html
So much easier to fit the spare Thumbs Up

In and out in 15 minutes.

^^^ That's one helluva bolt!!! Shocked

Today I finally got around to tackling the rear wash-wipe non return valve. The trim came off easily enough (thought it certainly looks as though it's been off before, unless LR use bits of duct tape to hold whatever the cadette-tape shaped box of electrics is under there in situ. The complete lack of water in the pipework pointed to the valve being at fault, sadly though the new valve doesn't appear to have made any difference, as a good 2-3 minutes of triggering the wash motor didn't put any water through the nozzle. Maybe I just need to keep trying, but the loud buzzing noise the motor made in the engine bay would suggest it is maybe airlocked? Stuff taking my front end apart to find out though.

Rather more successfully, I replaced the tired and barely-supportive tailgate gas rams with some quality new Nitrolift ones (British made and 2 year guaranteed) from SGS engineering - now it positively flies up rather than having to be assisted Very Happy NW060
