These engines are pretty bulletproof. I recon the most reliable ever fitted to an rr.

They might be bulletproof, but they aren't numpty proof. I'm just shocked that the engine ran so well with 4 out of 7 nuts missing on the inlet manifold Still that might explain why it got worse when it was hot, can't imagine that a plastic manifold wouldn't distort with heat. Hi Tim, yes it is a relief that some of the injectors were dud. I did consider doing a leak back test, but decided that having them tested on a proper rig would be better, as they test for worn nozzles too, something that a leak back wont show. Plus they clean them too, so they are as good as new and covered by a Bosch warranty And not that expensive either, Clean and Test is £17.50 and a recon is £135 and they wave the cleaning cost. That's a hell of a lot cheaper than the prices I have seen on the parts suppliers / fleabay sites, they have been£200 + Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
