United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

These engines are pretty bulletproof. I recon the most reliable ever fitted to an rr.

We will not discuss the gearbox Rolling with laughter 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

They might be bulletproof, but they aren't numpty proof. I'm just shocked that the engine ran so well with 4 out of 7 nuts missing on the inlet manifold Shocked Still that might explain why it got worse when it was hot, can't imagine that a plastic manifold wouldn't distort with heat. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Hi Tim, yes it is a relief that some of the injectors were dud. I did consider doing a leak back test, but decided that having them tested on a proper rig would be better, as they test for worn nozzles too, something that a leak back wont show. Plus they clean them too, so they are as good as new and covered by a Bosch warranty Thumbs Up And not that expensive either, Clean and Test is £17.50 and a recon is £135 and they wave the cleaning cost. That's a hell of a lot cheaper than the prices I have seen on the parts suppliers / fleabay sites, they have been£200 + Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Very Happy Very Happy It lives Very Happy Very Happy

Put it all back together today, turned the key and Very Happy , a noticeably happier engine. Took it out for a test run and all the torque vibration that I was getting between 30 and 60 has gone Mr. Green

The injectors ended up costing me £410, that was for 4 cleaned and tested and 2 cleaned and rebuilt with new nozzles and valves. And the best bit is I got a full Bosch warranty on the work Thumbs Up

This is the mob that I used http://www.fastlinegroup.co.uk/

Charges are £17.50 + for clean and test, £135 + for full recon, less the cleaning charge. And before you lot say I have overpaid, I had new compression washers supplied too. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
