It is very difficult to place yourself in someone elses position and decide whether it is worth x, y, z money for an upgrade on a car, FFRR or other top end vehicle. Cars are for a big part bought on emotion (for some people a small part for other very big) and that is what makes it difficult IMHO.

Geoff, just see it as doing your bit for the environment and not sending those horrible diesel exhaust fumes into the atmosphere. Instead we have pure clean petrol exhaust going out of our tailpipes, smelling of roses and lillies

The thing is, I like the 5.0, and I like the 4.2. But which is better?

Just for accuracy these are the independent dealer values for 80,000 miles cars - from our system : A) 2009/09 4.2 SC AB £20419 B) 2009/09 5.0 SC AB £24410 |

Ours isn't a sought after AB, just a pampered and dated VSE
