the bosch/varta 020 is the best for the fullfat, a bit fiddly to fit but worth it especially with the 5 year warranty... ... - .- -.

I got mine to fit without any cutting. Obviously don't put it in the wrong way like I did. That gets very annoying. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

fitting is only an issue if you have the incendiary charge on the positive terminal which hangs over the side of the battery - this causes the 'clearance issues' that some of us have faced. Not all the early TDV8's had them as far as I can tell, so your TD6 is probably OK
then be prepared to have to 'persuade' the battery into place with pry bars or 'plastic surgery' as the bottom of the charge will foul on the bulkhead. Some have managed to wiggle it in, I went down the route of cutting the plastic retaining lip on the bottom of the opposite side of the battery which gave me the space needed to get the battery further over to the right and give enough clearance to get the positive terminal to seat properly. The picture is taken before the fettling took place as the battery terminal is now a nice snug fit. |

Is this not the same battery? I thought Varta made the Bosch batteries, which means this a pretty good deal!
