United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

I got my first one in without too much of a problem - just make sure you open the bonnet to full height

However, the warranty replacement just would not go in.

When I measured them, the new one was about 5mm longer - so I had to cut the tab on the base off - then it went in no problem Thumbs Up

In case you don't know - you can open your bonnet wider - and it makes fitting the battery much easier.

You need to disconnect the lower end of the gas struts as they limit the opening

There is a locking clip on each hinge to hold the bonnet nearer to vertical

Just be careful with the clips from the struts - I lost one taking it off

I have just fitted this bigger battery to my 07 tdv8, mine had a tiddly 013 in it no wonder it struggled sometimes. The battery fitted easily but the positive connector would not fit in any way shape or form. Mine does not have the jump peg on the bulkhead or the explosive disconnect, but mine does have the box with the 400amp fuse in it. I ended up putting a short jump lead in the system and the fuse is now zippy tied to the battery handles. Not the greatest solution and will look to do better in the future. I tried to heat up the clamp/bracket but it is cast brass and just broke. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

I know it does not look the best but it works and as other posters have said everything seams to be working a bit better/faster probably complete Censored but makes me feel warm and fuzzy for 10mins
