Has anyone else tried the vacuum pump mod described by Jaguar3? Would be nice to have a confirmation on a different car Smile 2011 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I have done it but I can’t comment on whether it would have fixed the smoke issue as I had already done the secondary turbo drain mod in June last year, which did successfully cure my cars bad smoking habit. All I can say is that I did Jaguar3’s mod in November last year and have seen no bad effects from doing it. I just did it because his logic seemed sound and I wanted my scavenger pump to be working more efficiently. My car is a daily driver and I average 300 miles a week. 2012 Westminster TDV8 4.4 Indus Silver

Today I did this modification.
The oil connection was a bit difficult to undo. The push spots for the quick connector are not easy to push, so you need to rotate the pipe a little to be able to pressh two push spots inwards.

It was a bit nerv wrecking to split open the oil side of the pump as I was very gentle not to break the seal inbetween

Another point is the agle of the drilling. If you know the location of the oil feedline, it is easy to estimate the angle.

I will report back after couple of hundred kms Smile

Thank you jaguar3 for this instructions 2011 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
