Water ingress through sun roof

Just noticed some water staining and mould on the passenger side roof in between the sun roof and passenger door, and also around the top of the air bag on the forward left pillar

Have folk experienced any ingress / leaks from the sun roof?
Any obvious / easy remedies ?

On any car sunroof leaks are usually caused by blocked drains. It’s quite hard to make a moving sunroof 100% watertight so leakage is dealt with by a drainage system but when this gets blocked it will overflow into the headlining. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I had this problem on a lovely D3. I eventually sold it because I could'nt cure it. However, I have never heard of this on a Range Rover.
But here is the method for clearing the drains.
Get some of that wire that your Lady uses to hang net curtains, the wire covered with white plastic.
Open the sunroof, there are probably four drains, one in each corner. Pass the wire down each tube, but do not use force, you may force pipe joins apart. I then used some warm water and washing up liquid to see if it poured out the bottom. Use small amounts of water.......and maybe a tube.
On the D3 each drain was clear, but it still occasionally leaked down the inside of the screen. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

Thank you

Front drain holes easy to find, and they are clear
Rear drain holes i didn’t locate

BUT

I noticed in the middle of the back of the glass, the plastic strip / trim has split. Not sure if this will have created the leak, but a small piece of silicon wont hurt for now

Do folks know if this strip is replaceable, or does a new strip only come ready attached to a new sun roof glass?

Actually I think it is not a split…it’s just the join of the edging !
But was peeling back….

And i think makes no difference

Thanks

On the FullFat…are you sure there are 4 drain holes?
The front 2 were easy access…no blockage…
And easy to see / feel when sun roof is back

I can’t see the rears
And cannot get my fingers / wire round the back when the sun roof is back

If front 2 are clear, is there any reason rear 2 would not be ?

Sorry if I confused you. I had 4 holes in the D3, presumed there would be same in RR. Same sized roof panel. The rear ones on the D3 were difficult to locate. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

Grandad

Thank you
There are indeed 4 holes
I used a 500ml syringe..with a 15cm tube diameter 5mm to insert into the holes
Warm soapy water

If you slide the tube parallel to the aluminium rail (parallel to the length / side of the car) all the way to the rear of the chassis that holds the sun roof…it will go out of sight…the tube self locates into the drain holes.
A few of these into each of the 4 drains, and now each one flows freely
Funnily enough, despite my earlier assertation the front ones were clear, the front left took 4 full syringes before it flowed freely
