2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Went to ROckingham castle for the Land rover experience on the new TDV8!!!

Luuurvly car didnt realise had a lot of poke and the fact that it does over 35 to the gallon !!

Went around for a couple of hours nothing too extreme but enough to know what they are like!!

I thought The D3 had gadgets when I tested it in 06 but this has got more !!

Couldnt believe the ground clearnce on FF.

Overall very impress with the tdv8.

One thing I diint like when off raoding is the paddle shift, but mighty easy when doing the road driving

Manage to get 25.4 to the gallon on the way there and 24.6 mpg on the way back with the Wife driving. Dont think her mpg didnt help when she was coming out of the services. She took off like a rolling start on the nascar. That was the reason we bought the petrol lol

Just also realise that i miss the off roading so must get my old disco 200 beast fix and start doing some days again.

i drove the FF for the first time today since i had my tuning box fitted... Very Happy

well this is how the car should have left the factory!! smooth and with enough grunt to take the skin off a rice pudding!!

never seen the fuel computer anywhere near 30mpg either since i've had it, well today smashed right through 30mpg no bother and that includes a blast in three figures with ease for about 5 miles on the way home.

LOVE IT even more than before now!! just need to see how much better it is at towing now since it's torque boost. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

.............. succumbed to the random alarm activation issue. Advised by LRA to disconnect the bonnet sensor and book in for adjustment/replacement. Sigh.

Over the past few days I've changed the rear rose bushes, top and bottom one side (other side will be done when I have more time) full set of discs, pads and handbrake shoes, new front brake caliper, oil and filter change, triple gearbox flush.

Still to do the near side rose bushes and both rear toe control arms

I'll tell you what I did in my FFRR today. I let the bloody wife drive for some inexplicable reason. Net result is a smashed nearside mirror glass @ the bargain price of £155 +VAT.
