Drove 100 miles and now it's up on the ramp to have an oil change and gearbox double flush with my inexpensive Texamatic 7045E. Also bought new discs and pads which I will change when I do the rear rose bushes

Sorry to say this, but your son's a tw@.

Hope the dog gets better very soon.

that is a bit harsh mate seeing as im his son and the reason the dog didn't go to the vets is partly because i spent most of my day cleaning sick and Censored as four of my five kids was ill and to be fair the dogs not been to bad for the last couple of days and is going vets tomorrow ...and i will also add the dog isn't seriously ill he just had two days of the runs "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

I meant it to sound harsh given your father's quote. Now you've put it in context you seem a lot more reasonable and a dog lover.

I withdraw my tw@ remark and instead give you a Thumbs Up

Finally managed to remove my "removable" tow bar. A few days days liberal sprayings of wd40 and some vigorous and judicious " Censored " with a very heavy hammer eventually did the job. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

Great weekend, drove up to the NE with SWMBO on Saturday. Nice route via Barnard Castle etc overnight in Washington Holiday Inn - lots of bland everyday cars on the car park, big fat (none gipsy) wedding in progress - kids running about unchecked, obviously that's parenting in 2011 - let them run wild and if they have an accident sue the hotel Sad

Evening BBQ with the birthday boy (50) weather held off, plenty of beer and steaks.
Meander home to Chorley on the Sunday along Hadrians Wall, lunch in Alston, final leg over Shap on A6.
Great thing about the FF is that every bit of flooding put a smile on, SWBO high above the spray getting a great view of everything and as we all know if she's happy we're happy Very Happy

380miles/32mpg/ average speed just under 60mph not much time spent on motorways Thumbs Up Geoff
