Wet grass is also notoriously hard to grip on - many a 4x4 driver has made a complete fool of themselves on a slightly inclined field.

Yep. Tried the little throttle approach and it did make it up the hill. Hill was about 300 foot and bumpy

January 2, 2016; My very special friend, Ranger (I didn't name him) suddenly looked poorly and listless. Got an out-of-hours appointment with our vet. Got him there at 3.30pm.

Oh Mike - Terribly sorry to hear that. It's no conselation but I know how you feel. I had to lose mine a while back as her back legs had gone and it was the kindest thing I could have done for me best friend.. It was and still is the worst day of my life - and I've been through a messy divorce which was nothing compared to it.

Condolences Mike. I too know how you feel. I went through it about 15 years ago and my wife and I were reminiscing about him the other day. It is still hard. We will not have another as the pain when saying goodbye is too much.

Hi Mike, the only medicine for this problem is time. It is such a hard time and no amount of empathy by others can undo the pain you're feeling. Ranger looks a really happy chap in the photo there.
