So update here. Changed valve mv1. After 10mins of first drive I get trans over heat 🤯
Added scan but not sure where it will show 🤷‍♂️🤣

The transmission fluid temperature sensor is also part of the transmission wiring harness. Measuring between pins 13 & 14 should give a resistance according to the graph.

Thanks Phil. So this could have got damaged etc when doing valve I suppose. The same error flashed up quickly first time I moved it after doing it(I didn’t do the work as still incapacitated) the fault wasn’t there before so I don’t think the box actuall overheated. Guess the thermistor could be faulty also. Do you think it’s more likely to be loom in pan or wires outside of box? Do the the plugs ever play up? Guess I’m trying to avoid him having to drop the pan again

Certainly worth trying disconnecting the 16-pin plug & re-connecting in case there’s a poor connection at the pins. Seems a heck of a coincidence that the sensor would fail just at the same time you replaced a solenoid.

You can also test the pin resistances at the ECU if you want to check the integrity of the transmission wiring all the way through.

Sorry. Not sure what happened there.
