Germany 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Seeing as I seem to have the problem that the aircon on the (LH) driver's side blows a little cold air and on the RH side blows warm air only I searched and found this topic.

Mine's a late 2007 model though so I was wondering if it might be something else ?
I read something about a blend door in the air circulation system ?

Any help is appreciated as it's no fun driving that bus around with the feeling that the heater is on with 26 degrees outside !

Cheers, Ard

I think that will prob be different. This issue is no air con at all, then everything ok.

I too think it might be something to do with blend motors, but I’m no expert.

Thanks for that !!
Luckily it was just the system needed a recharge !
Had it done at the local Bosch garage and they had time to do it today.
Ooh it's lovely and cool again ! In fact, better than it has been in our time of ownership since September last year.

Glad this was resurrected As my fairly new to me 09 (2010 MY) has been doing this and it really threw me as to why as I never had that issue in my 07. I’ll try a regas to make sure that is where it should be and if not, I guess I’ll be replacing the compressor too! 2009 (2010 MY) 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography

So was I ! It was about 120 or I think the wifey said but she got a loaner car ("her comment: "We'll definitely not buy a Renault!" Laughing ) and (so far) we didn't have to fork out for a new compressor !! Bow down (Not to mention spending more time laying on the drive)

I hope it'll solve your issue as well TDV8 Paul !

Cheers, Ard

Make sure your aircon is turned off just in case the oil runs out of it completely.

(Just my thoughts, don't know if it will harm the system when it's low on anything.

Interesting, from cross referencing the part no LR056364

It seems a lot of JLR motors also use the L322 AC compressor, and the price is almost half Smile

So my 2012 L322 Westminster has started doing a couple of odd things re the AC:

1) Taking 5-10 mins to get cool, starts blowing firmly but air is ambient temp, then after 5-10 mins there is a noticeable step point over a few seconds where the temp reduces. But it never actually gets cold.

2) Whilst the air gets cool, it never gets cold; certainly never feel cold air from the AC regardless of time, cool yes but never cold

It was regassed earlier in the year so I guess it's new value or compressor time, unless anyone has any other suggestions?

Sounds like the valve issue, though mine works nice and cold once it’s all got itself together…. So maybe you have 2 issues, but I think if you change the valve/compressor it will have to be re gassed anyway.

Mine normally comes on ok if the revs build whilst driving.

Sounds like the compressor to me and similar to my symptoms. Depending on your budget you may want to get a few other items replaced like the belt and tensioners, waterpump, alternator etc as a lot of the labour involves removing the fan and shroud to get at it and these other items are then also replaceable. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
