Was super useful when replacing mine, I’m normally pretty handy with the spanner’s and on initial inspection it did stump me somewhat!

Quick note from when I did mine, I didn't undo the security bolts, I simply undid the plastic clips that retain the ECU cable and then, after undoing the single 10mm nut, was able to fold the ECU out of the way safely. No need for special pentalobe bits etc.

I have replaced both those pesky TS25 bolts with simple 10mm bolts ( both for me and future owners of my car )

Re: Battery Replacement 2011 TDV8 4.4

Hi guys,

Does anyone have a part number or know where you can find one of the plates for the ecu bracket? (The one bolted on with the 2 security torx).Miine seems to have been removed at some point in it’s life, never to make it back on.

Do you actualy need one? I took mine off when I replaced my battery 3 years ago and didn't see the point in putting it back on. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Just nice to have all the pieces of the puzzle! I think it just gives the ecu a bit of support at the top, rather than just hanging off the one nut at the bottom. You up for parting ways with yours?😂

Does anyone have the part number for the thin plastic strap that attaches the orange cap for the positive battery terminal to the alternator cable? My orange cap has seen better days, I bought the cap but I can't find the PN for the black thin strap. I have a feeling that's going to break once I start fiddling with the battery. 2012 Range Rover Autobiography

Thanks everyone for all the info and tips above. - made changing my battery a breeze!

I thought I had the 5-point torx security bit but mine was the 6-point security one, so I managed to remove the screw with vice grips. Otherwise the whole thing was simple
