Gary, I do like this D3 prior to the last bit and I am really not trying to come across as negative, but are you really going to do much night offroading? Do you need the last additions?

In the eight years I've been offroading I did a night drive three times. And other than a set out course it was pretty hairy stuff. I much prefer by daylight.
It just looks like you've gone for maximum power, rather than what you need. IMO of course. Those lights are overkill.

But at the end of the day it's yours. So bling it up as much as you like. Cool

You may be right and they do take a bit of getting use too I must admit.

I have always been a fan of Rally style lights since the days of the Mexico Rally when it actually passed our house in Wembley when it started at Wembley Stadium around 1968. A few years later we lived near a shop that only sold Mexico style escorts all blazing with driving lamps and I have been hooked ever since!

With a D3 there are only a few ways of attaching driving lamps:

1. Rubber A-Bar which I dislike
2. LR Driving Lamp Kit (had this on a D3 Metroplolis and they are a bit puny)
3. Aftermarket A Bar

I went for three but I agree it needs powder-coating black as I to am not a bling merchant.

The Lamps are big (maybe too big) but I am going to give them a chance as the project is not yet complete....

Looking great, although I'd hate to be caught in the beam of all your lights when they are on.... Laughing

H'mmm... the lights are very "chav-tastic". I'm sure they are really bright.. but at the cost of all street cred for what is an otherwise awesome looking motor. Ebay is your friend Gaz ... you know it makes sense Thumbs Up 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

Me I cannot decide but at the moment they do not look quite right - I agree.

Think I will powder-coat A Bar and see what difference it makes....

I think powder coating it satin black and fitting the light covers will improve the look 100% It looks good, but the chrome bar just seems out of place against the rest of the car. 2006 Mercedes CLS

Wow that great your an artist!

I think silk would be just slightly less glossy and more like the Expedition Rack.

Much happier now Thumbs Up

PS: I am going to change the Yellow Lettering to Dark Grey to match other Decals...
