United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

Have you had a hunt through LR4x4? Not wishing to direct people away from this forum but for Land Rover "based" stuff the guys on there are the ones that seem to push the limits a bit more than others.

Seen a few threads on the OM606 into mainly Defenders but a RRC isn't much different to a Defender in that respect. Unfortunately I should head off to work so can't do some more digging for you. Ed

Ha e you asked fabrication 4x4 for a quote maybe?

They do some very radical stuff into things so an om606 or bt4 would be a doddle for them and they would be able to advise on stronger boxes for it as well Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Shocked Quote Shocked

I'll be doing a Pete on this one buddy! Just getting the game plan and shopping list in order.....

Have already decided to stick with Mercedes 6 speed box and mate it to an LT230, the Land Rover boxes don't appear to be up to the torque produced by a standard OM606 let alone a tuned one Rolling Eyes

Whistle If I can find a suffix 'c' LT230 box then there is still an option to fit the overdrive as well Razz That'll let me play around with the diff ratios and create a monster that will climb up a cliff in high range and still return a good MPG Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... That's OK if you don't mind faffing about with computers and all the pain they can cause....

Whistle Since I have discovered that the Mercedes OM606 tips the scales at 220KG, so that's 10 KG more than a TD6 and 80KG than a rr V8, it can produce up to 500hp and 700Nm of torque, and not an ECU within miles of it Bow down Very Happy The only cables you need are the throttle cable and a stop cable (optional) Mr. Green Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... I hadn't given cruise control much thought Shocked but now that you have... it would be nice.. but I'd then be back into ECU Shocked Shocked And I'm really trying to divorce myself from them Whistle Might be able to fit one of those simple ones that you used to be able to get as an after thought.....

But to be honest, as much as I love cruise, I don't really use it much when towing, as I normally chugging along A roads not motorways. And due to the super stable nature of mobile toilets Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter (they are all over the place cos of the Censored ) I have to use the throttle because of constantly having to adjust to stay in a straight line Shocked

A/C hadn't given that any thought either Rolling Eyes I suppose I could use this to control the environment.....

A boot full of them should do the trick Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

But now you have brought the chilling subject to light Shocked Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry WANT A/C, NEED A/C.... Feel another retro fit coming on..... The bit inside the Classic is easy to fit, been there and got the t shirt.... But that was an piston pump system running R12...

The OM606 has A/C but that will be a rotary affair, and more than likely run R134a.... wonder what will happen.. Rolling Eyes Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
