Does the 2004 model have acoustic glass? I can't see any such symbols on the screen.

I checked the windscreen on my late 2004 (2005 model year) and it has the acoustic sign (LR branded) 1260-1

Right chaps I had my screen replaced just before the car went, and being the annoying git that I am, instead of leaving the chap from National Windscreens to get on with it in the cold, I stayed and chatted to him and lent a hand where needed..

Mine was replaced last Saturday. Wind noise was quite noticeable on the motorway. Also, it's raining today and I've found the rain-sensing doesn't work.

The important bit is the bedding bead of glue at the bottom or the screen Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I personally wouldn't touch Autoglass with a barge pole. They did mine, this time last year. It was an insurance claim via Admiral.

How big do chips have to be before insurance will replace the screen? I have a couple on the drivers side, inside the area swept by the wipers. |
