you probably have an analogue tuner...you need a digital one to get tv nowadays and tbh i wouldnt bother.. ... - .- -.

Your best option is to fit a hybrid unit from a later BMW. I got one from a 2005 x5. Straight swap.

No, the TV tuner in the left hand side of the boot compartment........on the rr. It's under the boot floor on an x5.

Mine doesn't. You can upgrade with a hybrid/digital tuner. Sorry I don't know when they changed to digital as standard.

Early tochscreen can be done, 5 minute job if you can find the correct tuner. You would need to make sure that you get the correct Jag/LR one as some don't work. From memory two wires unplugged from existing unit then plugged into new unit, new unit sits next too the old one to save stripping out loads of brackets etc... and also easy to remove if selling later. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

But a 50" TV won't fit on the dash and streaming on the iPad uses too much data to be cost effective.

mine has TV in it an to be honest for the most part it doesn't work, it does have a digital tuner but the signal for the most part isn't strong enough round here.
