I can see why!! Rolling with laughter

From an earlier post :-

"Basically the more probing questions I asked, the more uncomfortable he became. I think he saw a young(ish!) blonde girl and assumed he could charm me with the toys that the vehicle had and that I wouldnt question anything about where it came from etc." Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Yep, the search isn't easy. Mine took a full year.

If you've got worries about the car and the dealer, WALK AWAY. There are plenty more cars out there and you don't need the agro.

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Mariana Black

Hi all,

Have read this thread with interest and in a similar position to VSK although slightly smaller budget. Was looking to buy a RRS for SWMBO, ideally an 09-10 3.0 TDV6 but budget wont get me that far. £17-18k tops. So now thinking about a FF TDV8. Having only been looking at RRS so far the FF's certainly look a nicer place to be? Not overly keen to go for the 3.0 TD6 as my daily drive is a 2012 D4 8 spd and think the slightly agricultural TD6 may disappoint me?

I THINK I'm being realistic about 75-90k miles on a TDV8 for my budget. If I found one with say 85k on, is there a big billed service pre 100k? Seem to remember when I got rid of D3 at 92k the next owner had a pretty expensive service done. Was thinking about getting a 3rd party warranty on the right vehicle but this weeks research on 3rd party warranties makes me think they will wriggle out of nearly everything.

New engine...... http://www.exchangeandmart.co.uk/used-cars...c-15506585

Should I be scared??

Decided to investigate the Td6 on a greatly reduced budget to see if it can still meet my expectations. Also freeing up money for warranty, repairs, maintence etc. If the car has had the dreaded gearbox death I imagine this would be noted as a plus point in the add- i.e that it has had gearbox explosion and therefore less of a concern that it is about to happen?

Hi Van Diesel, I am also looking at 3rd party warranties and I have exactly the same fear as you!

No mention of mileage that I could see, also its not a Vogue but a lower spec HSE. It's also been facelifted to 2006 spec front bumper and lights.

Didnt notice that it was HSE Prop. Looking at this one- any comments on the intervals between the services?

VSK, it's at least £2000 over priced in my book.

They are going for £10k or less with lower mileage. And its a fake "2005" front grill which b*ggers up the headlamp washers.

Looks like sand rather than ivory though? Can't see interior that clearly. Does the price seem a bit steep?
