United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

mmmh, do you think there is a market for them if I want to sell? I really like the car, but concerned about the alloys

You could flog them to someone on the RRSport forum, they like the Stormers and most arent bothered if they are genuine or 22's.

If the tyres are in decent nick you'd get £500 back.

nope, still searching! Found one that I liked but the dodgy big wheels have worried me. It has high mileage (not massively high- 113k) but im worried that running those wheels for all those miles may have adversely affected air suspension etc. I am demented with looking Big Cry

VSK, I wouldn't worry that the wheels will damage anything, and its unlikely they have been on the car for that long.

I still think that 454awg's car would work out a much better option for you if you could push the budget. You get a lower mileage car with higher SE spec, almost new tyres on proper LR wheels, and being face lifted to 2010 spec means its worth more in the future should you decide to sell it on. And it has a Warranty Direct warranty till May next year for peace of mind.

I'd spend less cash and buy a well spec'd SC then get it LPG'd. Just my 2c Smile 03 4.4 V8 petrol / lpg. 1st of many hopefully. I love my Rangie

Prefer the grille on the grey one, whats the difference between those two grilles with regards to facelift/model/year or however you identify them?

Any thoughts on price?

They have said we will get 3 month Auto Protect warranty which covers single job up to value of £1000 as car over 80k miles. Hardly sounds worthwhile warranty!!! Few dinks on alloys and scuff on bumper which they have sent me photos of and will repair or will take 300 quid off price.

Really like it and tempted to sign on the dotted line. Any last words of warning/ wisdom Thumbs Up

Thanks Bow down

Have you been to see the car in person yet?

If you have and you have checked for the usual rust on rear wheel arches and tailgate etc and all the other wiki link things then it sounds ok. Wheels are not to my liking, but the main thing is seeing the car and driving it so you can make sure everything is in order.

Mileage is high but price seems to reflect that, but being higher mileage means you want to make sure its been well serviced etc.

Not been to see this exact one as it is 300 miles away. So it will be a decision when I go down and drive it on the day whether to go for it or not. Alloys are also a bit questionable in my opinion, I cant decide whether I hate them or not! But that can all be remedied, my concern was correct interior and condition mechanically. Seems to be good example, FSH which will be inspected in greater detail when we go to see it. Just read a post about alternator failure on 2007 tdv8s and now I have the fear Big Cry

Reading your message again it doesn't sound like you have been to see the car. Pictures never show a cars true condition or how it drives, your eye and feel will do that but you need to see it in person preferably with someone else who is not likely to have rose tinted glasses on.

Would not sign anything till you have both seen and driven the car. It's not worth the risk or hassle of buying a car of this age with over 100k miles without even seeing it on just the word of the seller or dealer.

As to the warranty, at a £1000 limit is really not gonna cut it if you have any kind of real issue.

If your worried about the alternator you could always take a volt meter and check the voltage, not ideal but would give peace of mind. Also with over 100k on the clock I suspect the alternator will have already failed and been replaced.

I still think 454awg's car is much better value, especially if you consider its had a new alternator recently , has pretty much new tyres, brake pads and discs on back and new pads on front, new battery, and a good warranty until May. It has 20k less miles and is higher spec SE car with proper LR wheels and has been facelifted to boot. All for £3k more.

Interior looks immaculate for age and milage. Keep seeing this one in my searches and only about 1.25hrs from mine but really want a few less miles. Does look nice though. Agree with above that you need to see it before you sign on the line, and keep the rose tinted specs in your pocket. Warranty is piffle !!

To all other owners, will most of these TDV8's have had the front diff changed under a re call? Any way of checking whether its been done?

I don't think the front diff recall affected TDV8s, only TD6's and older 4.4 BMW engined petrol cars.
