Most likely one of the three actuators. They are notoriously unreliable, although having dismantled a few, I don't know why.
Also a total pain to change.

I suspect RWD only is simply because it's too hard to retain the front drivetrain, nothing to do with 'wanting it to slide'.

You have to remember that Jaguar is not a viable business. It sells nowhere near enough vehicles to be viable. By orders of magnitude. So the management could just fold it, or try something new.

You've clearly got a leak somewhere for the fluid to be leaking out of, so I imagine some new pipes will be required...

It's the reservoir on the passenger side about half-way back of the engine compartment. Yellow lid.

Check the ACE fluid level.
Nothing to do with the air suspension.

Turn off keyless entry for a start, and isolate the OBD-II plug under the dash. That is how they are usually nicked.

This might be silly, but can you not put power on the two terminals under the bonnet, then open the boot electrically.
