Access mode

Can you stop the access mode coming in every time you stop the vehicle?

Mine always drops everytime I stop and open the doors.

And then everytime I get into drive after being parked up for a while, then it has to pump up to normal ride height !!,

I've looked everywhere in the hand book and can't find anything Shocked Rolling Eyes

When I first got my L405, I also was about to de-select auto access height, thinking it was putting undue strain on the bags and unecccessary cycles on the compressor….but a wise friend countered “use it or lose it” , so I left it alone.

Might be an idea to cycle through the heights periodically, just so the compressor sees some active service. L460 460e PHEV AB. Belgravia green.

Better than the pump seizing due to lack of use? Whistle “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Maybe, still think it would wear out quicker on the sort of journeys I do. But I will run it now and again Thumbs Up

The pump won't seize through lack of use! Each time you have a different load in the vehicle it will inflate or deflate the system. I think it also drops down at motorway speed and rises again when you slow down.

This must be another feature that my bog standard base model doesn't have. I have to press the button every time and on the 90% of occasions when I forget, filthy looks are forthcoming from the passenger seat. It would be handy if it operated every time. Maybe I can select it using iiD.

I checked the owners manual last night, and it definitely goes up and down of it's own accord depending on road speed, so the system will always be used even if you never adjust the height manually.
