Drove back home from Newcastle last night as SWMBO is in hospital being monitored for pre-eclampsia... only to get a phone call first this morning telling me to get my sorry ass into hospital!

So, used the Full Fat to pick up the dragon-in-law and head for hospital! End result: Jake was born at 1201hrs, weighing in at a colossal 4lbs 4oz. Deleivered a full month early by C-section! Shocked

Both he and SWMBO are doing well (he seems hard as algebra to be fair).

Holy s Censored t! I'm a dad! Which also prompted me to buy an isofix seatbase for young ASBO when he rolls in style in the back of the FFRR. Thumbs Up

Best part is when they've all grown up and left home. Grandchildren are the way forward, all the hard work is done and you can hand them back at the end of the day.

Well done Dan and Mrs Dan.

Took family on a drive down to the New Forest today to meet up with all my family (22 others!) to celebrate my old man's 80th birthday. We had lunch in a yacht marina restaurant. FFRR looked right at home parked up surrounded by all the yachts. Recently repaired air con worked a treat given the hot weather. What a great car Smile .

Polishing, detailing, leather treatment

Having got my car back from the LPG conversion, i am delighted to have it back, so I thought I'd treat it to some tlc.

I took it to the hand car wash for a quick inside and out job, then took it home where the real work started!

First cleaned all the leather, including steering wheel.

Then conditioned all the leather.

The polished the exterior.

Then polished windows.

Fortunately I didn't have any brasso, otherwise i would have started polishing the exhaust, which would have got me into trouble with SWMBO, who doesn't understand why three hours detailing is a good use of my time when the lawns haven't been mowed!

However it's looking a million dollars now. I'll take some pictures tomorrow and get them up! Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Now do i buy a new tyre and a 2010 design alloy wheel , or buy a set of 4 off Dan ….. Whistle

Explored some of the interior fixtures and fittings of the FFRR I picked up on Thursday and found this thing hiding under the central box lid:

I didn't know it was there (and neither did the dealer)! So tried a spare T-mobile SIM and I couldn't get it to work. A quick search on this forum indicates the early integrated phones were only able to use O2 and Vodaphone (thanks).

So I tried a Vodaphone SIM, and voilà it works fine. So its hands-free-for-free Very Happy .
