Would be interested to hear from you if you have changed your battery on your FFRR and noticed a marked improvement on how well the car drives. I changed mine recently and Im confinced the car runs even smoother with more MPG . Thanks.

it does seem like that, i sure the extra power does something to all the ecu's in the car and perks them up somehow... |

I was thinking the alternator does not have to work as hard and also electronic timing etc runs more efficiently Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Yes Scarey but I wonder is it just imagination or does it really make a difference given the FFRR has a lot of electronics etc. If the older battery was maybe depleted to a point were it could only start the car its possible it may effect driving of the car especially if a couple of cells were faulty on older battery and car was only being used on short runs hence my thinking. I'm sure it's psychosomatic but it certainly starts with much more vigour - 920CCA.

I suppose its a possibility if your old battery was really dud then a new one would make a good difference. The better the supply voltage, the quicker the coils will charge up and punch out a decent spark.

For the bit about spark, this would be valid for a petrol engine but not for your TD6! (according to the little car picture) |

Before I replaced my battery I would get spurious massages on start up ranging from 'check light bulbs to steep hill descent inactive and more. New battery cured all and yes I do think the car runs better, well
