Got a new bosch S5 coming tomorrow and hopefully i will be reporting back similar findings Thumbs Up
just recently as well as the usual air susp inactive, airbag light etc i have been having starting issues
when warm i start the car and it fires and cuts out immediately, will keep doing this unless i give it some revs as the engine fires then it settles to its normal idle

Hopefully this may be another fault caused by the 70 Ahr 720 cca battery currently fitted and tomorrow i will be able to report that all my faults have dissappeared, fuel economy has gone up,its got faster,my outside tap has stopped dripping, the missus has stopped moaning, and the miserablt tw@ next door has sold his house to 2 blonde nympho lesbians

I put in a new Bosch 110 Ah battery a couple of weeks back. Previously had no issues with starting, except I got the HDC error if I left the car few days. Few weeks back however the Radio stopped working and so did the Sat Nav, but engine still started on the button. Anyhow, before I got around to looking at the Radio issue the car just died and failed to start at all. Popped the new battery in (that’s v.much to the poster with eh Eurocar parts discount code  ) and massive transformation. Radio and Satnav all good now. Engine was sounding like an old Taxi is now much quieter, and when I looked at the mpg after 1.5weeks of driving, it had gone up from 22.3mpg to 25.2mpg. Don’t know if maybe the sensors don’t give back the correct voltage or same such when the battery is very low, and it runs sort of out of tune, but it has transformed the car – would never have believed it if I had not seen it…

I have followed this thread and thought what a load of B Censored s , how can a battery make a difference.!!

Last Friday i invested £ 135 in a Bosch S5 from Europarts (no discount) and i can not believe the difference. The starting is instant, appart from that the car runs a heap better, the engine seems more responsive, infact i would go as far as saying it feels like a different car.

Once i have repaired my reverse cam, and got to grips with the cd telling me its empty when infact all six are full, then i will be a happy Bunny.

Cheers Piers. Thumbs Up

Once the car starts its the alternator that kicks in and runs
The car and its electrics giving out about 13.5v (average). So regardless
Of battery state as long as alternator is working fine then the car would/should run the same.

Cant see how a change of battery would boost the cars performance. Range rover td6 54 reg touch screen

After 2 jump starts in a week I had a genuine LR new battery fitted and definitely noticed a smoother and quieter drive.
