Wheel bearing and handbrake cable arrived this morning so I made a start on these items. The wheel bearing is massive and needs to be pressed out so off to my MOT man with the hub and let him do his bit. Back at base and I started to reassemble everything.

It was all straight forward as I had only just changed the rose bushes the worst part was changing the handbrake cable, what a swine of a job that was.

New wheels fitted and just a few bolts to nip up and give everything a check before having the rear geometry done

Thanks for the compliments Thumbs Up

Everything now tightened up and a test drive done, the slight rumble from the rear has now gone, the 19" tyres are a slightly harder ride, but cornering is much improved with the lower profile of the tyres

Looking nice fella Smile

Ahh yes a proper home garage i see with 4 post lift Smile Good for suspension issues!!

Always fancy a set of 19's at some point but really do love the wafty ride the 18's give and can cope with cornering a little bit slower to stop wash out Smile

New Zealand 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Java Black

Haven't done anything in 'my' Supercharged yet, but I did take someone else's for a test drive and then bought it Mr. Green

Collecting the beast at the end of next week after a service, MOT and all the other pre purchase stuff.

The important details - 2006 Supercharged, Java Black, Jet Oxford interior, privacy glass, RSE, 2x Venture Cams, 47k miles.

I really wanted a facelift '07 model for the cooled seats (always disagreeing with the wife as to what temp is 'right'), but the price jump is hard to justify and you're not exactly slumming it in an '06 - plus we've got the 'better' seats.

Roll on next week. 2006 Supercharged

Welcome, I have to say, I bought my 2006 SC a year ago with 28k on the clock, I now have 52k on the clock and it hasn't missed a beat, never broke down and just keeps on going (now I've tempted fate) it's comfortable, rugged, gets abused at the weekends in the mud and drives me on business looking clean and smart during the week. I am tempted to buy a new 4.4 TDV8 but I just can't see how I can beat the car I have. Even the mpg doesn't tempt me.
I know you won't be disappointed. Current MY2020
Gone: 1 x L405 and 2 x L322's

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

I've been lurking for a few months, using the time to build up some knowledge. Combined with the general good banter, I'm looking forward to Fullfat ownership.

The sun's out, so it's time to fire up the BBQ and put some beer on ice. 2006 Supercharged
