its a shame really because the T91 is just the right size and shape for your pocket. the T90 is HUGE!!

may a T91 boot module is required just so we can use our slimline remotes.. Laughing Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

I have both the t90 and the t91 remote, both work perfectly. here's the story........

I originally bought the t90 and tried all the methods mentioned to get it paired up and working, but no matter what I did, nothing worked. I assumed that it must be a faulty remote and left it at that for a while.

Then I noticed another thread pop up about the FBH remotes, so I ended up buying a t91 remote on eBay and thought I'd give it another go.

Upon receiving the t91, I tried all methods mentioned and nothing worked yet again, so I now had Both a t90 and a t91 remote that were useless.

One Sunday I decided that I was going to try my own method in resolving this, so...
1. I opened up the rear right hand side of the car by removing the carpeted flap.
2. Unscrewed and moved away the fuse box assembly in order to gain access to the t90 remote receiver which is screwed to the back of the fuse box assembly. It is labelled Telestart T90 - Webasto.
3. Unplugged the power plug to the receiver, waited about 10 seconds and then plugged it back in while at the same time pressing and holding the off button on the T91 remote for about 1 second then releasing it, all within the first 5 seconds of powering the receiver.
4. To my amazement, the remote now worked and pressing "on" turns the system on while keeping the Red LED on for a few seconds, and pressing "off" turns it off as expected while also lighting up the LED on the remote for a few seconds.
5. So I thought I'd try the same process for the older t90 remote and sure enough that worked too.

So I now have both remotes working perfectly, but I must say that the t91 is so much better because is half the size and fits perfectly onto my key ring.

My method was the only way I could get the pairing to work, no fuse pulling worked for me., Neither did disconnecting the battery terminal for a few minutes.... Strange but as I've said only above method works.

Obviously, you must be sure that you have the receiver installed in the first place, I used Microcat, which confirmed that the factory installed FBH and remote was installed, so previous owner must have kept the remotes.

Hope this helps, cheers Matt

well, failed miserably again!!.. Sad

my T90 remote works, but as we all know they are massive and not really pocket friendly.

i have done as suggested by removing the power socket for the boot module. giving it a few seconds, then i left it for about 20 mins and still nothing. i just can't seem to get the t91 remotes to pair up with the RR.

i think i may have to speak to my local stealer and see what they say. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

yes you would have thought it was the same module. i can't remember who it was, but someone said to me that the T91 remotes can be a bit of a pain sometimes to program. guess i have that one!!..

never say never though, i will keep on trying, as i said maybe a trip to the stealer may shed some light on the subject. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

well, sorry to start this going again, but after leaving things for a while, it is still praying on my mind!!

so i had the FF booked into the dealer today, to get the speed locking turned on and the lazy seat thing as well. i asked them to program the T91 remotes while the testbook was plugged in.

still no joy, the techy guy couldn't get them to code and said that these are for the newer MY vehicles!!

well i can't understand why i can't get my remotes to work. i have done everything everyone else has done and still no joy.

i have the older T90 remote which still works a treat, but i would really prefer the newer T91 ones as they will fit in your pocket better...... Sad Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

does anyone know where the heater fuses are? by this i mean the actual fuse block for the heater itself, not either of the car fuse boxes.

it's the only thing i haven't tried and it's what they suggest in the webasto instruction guide i downloaded. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

right then, for starters, i would like to stand up in public and shame my self!!!... Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

after all this time and plenty of huffing and puffing and whinging about things not working, i eventually did the very unmanly thing of downloading the Webasto handbook and actually reading it... Shocked

it all becomes clear after reading the instructions!! i decided that the batteries in my remotes were both on their way out as i had amber lights when the buttons were pressed. (why did the dealer not know this??? when he took £50 from me last week??.. Evil or Very Mad )

anyway, new batteries fitted, pulled the fuse and hey presto two working remotes, well sort of.

i have read the instructions and how to change from blower to heater etc, but i can't seem to get the light to change from green to red.

what i have on both remotes is a green light when i press on and a red light when i press off.

could someone with the newer T91 remotes please comfirm their LED colours when pressing on and off and if they can change between heat and cold by pressing both buttons together, twice within one second as per the instructions.

at last...progress!!... Laughing Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Hi stu,

SOunds like you cracked it at last..

I believe that the T90 webasto unit that we have installed, will only allow off and on via the remote, no other functionality is available. Perhaps the newer 2010 MY onwards has more functionality????

If the outside temperature is below 16C then it activates the FBH and warms the interior, but if abov 16C then it simply activates the fans to remove the heat from the interior.

I have exactly the same as you, with red and green LED for off and on.

Cheers

SAppie, thanks for your reply. yes at last i have got there. what you are saying about the lights etc sounds good to me. Funny though, because i have the older T90 remote as well and it lets you switch between hot and cold, and choose how long you want it to run for.

well that's progress for you.. Laughing

i am just happy that i've got there in the end. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

does anyone know which is the fuse in a MY11 ?

in the glovebox fuse compartment, 59 is a spare. The handbook doesn't assign a fuse to the FBH.

are you sure you have all the bits and pieces for the parking heater fitted? the aux heater is a standard fit if i am not mistaken, but the parking heater receiver is an upgrade. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE
