Did they definitely change yours…? Or did they lube it first?

On closer inspection of my service and maintenance records Craig, there is no reference that they completed the work they said they would/ had; and on asking the garage to check their records they say they’ve no record of the repair actually having been done. Anyhoo, it’s booked in for a service in a couple of weeks and they will get a second chance to fix it Thumbs Up

The used door latch I found on EBay worked. Replacement took about an hour with a friend. Another set of hands was helpful. Thanks for the help!

As a side note, we spent the other two hours replacing the front differential, rear differential, and transfer case fluids. 🥰 Only the transmission fluid left to do. Dan. 🇨🇦 2013 L405 5.0 SCV8

Hoe do I get the door open?

One of my rear doors refuses to unlock from either the inside or outside. I can see from this thread what the problem might be, what I can't do however is open the door in order to remove the trim and access potentially faulty components. Anyone know how to get round this?

Thanks.

I recently had an issue with the child locking system following a battery re-charge while it was at MD - an ecu reset sorted it out - maybe worth a try? Good luck Thumbs Up

My 2013 L405 front passenger door wont unlock. The lock light is on, on the door! The door will not unlock if you try to unlock using the hande inside the car.
However if I use the auto unlock with the key in my position it will unlock.

Thoughts!!!!

Thanks,

Stuart

Resurrecting this thread as I have just experienced the same , the passenger door refuses to open.
No signs prior to this that the lock was playing up , thinking about this now I heard the central locking engage as I was driving along but at the time had the grandchildren in the back making a din , heard the click but didn’t really give it any thought until the fragrant one couldn’t exit the car , finally managed to extract her via the drivers side , but it absolutely won’t budge , I’m not beyond taking a look at the latch mech myself but cannot for the life of me find anything about opening the door without total destruction , it would make more sense to me if the lock had failed whilst cycling it but not whilst driving along , the wife was not guilty of inadvertently pressing the locking on the door as her left arm is in plaster currently any help would be greatly appreciated

Paul
