It may be frozen inside. My earlier L322 used to do this. Warmed it up and it worked. Try silicon spray instead of WD40. |

I had this last week. Door latch needed replacing. I've had it done on 3 doors now. A common fault. They also get stuck shut. |

Many thanks for replies. Called AA (local garage attended), mechanic gave side of door mechanism three taps with his screw driver/hammer and it freed itself (something to do with a spring). He then drowned the mechanism in lubricant. All fine now but he says it will have to be replaced and job will have to be done by dealer as it has to be programmed.

I got mine done by the dealer under warranty so unsure of cost. Its a common issue for the door latches to go. Mine was intermittent, if you slammed the door hard sometimes it would reset for a while. |

We do them all the time! Just as common as on the 322 beforehand! NO they 100% do NOT need coding/programming sir… |
