I did my 322 at about 50k I’ve been a bit lax with the 405 and it’s deffo due for a change. I’ve priced up a ZF pan/filter and oil from AUTODOC, and it’s sitting in my basket having been discounted to £190 for the pan and 8L of ZF fluid.

If I don’t find a new car shortly then I will get it in the garage and give it a go. I seem to remember the L322 was pretty easy to do and I’ve got all the kit this time around. And a diagnostic tool to read the temp.

On the other hand, when I had my 3.6 done LR charged me 1hr to do it if I provided the materials, but that was back when they were hunters…… There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Then they will then double flush with about 10 litres of Mannol AG-60, which seems to be what a lot of indies use, probably because they can get it in bulk drums. I can buy 10L for £70 quid, so if I did do it myself I would be looking at £156 - I am tempted to have a go actually

This has worked for me over the last 6 years ( it will be my third oil change ) , car is coming up for 200,000 miles, I do this mainly because replacement gearboxes are not cheap to replace !

I downloaded the service sheets and every 3 years the transmission fluid must be changed.

which is great for a new car, service at 3 years, 6 years, 9 years, 12 years

but mine has done nearly 200,000 miles now, so I am happy to do it every 2 years for peace of mind, and my engine oil every year, I don't trust manufacturers like JLR ( Jaguar Land Rover ) any more

Once the warranty is over they simply could not care one iota !
