I had an email back from unique auto developments about the car play adapter and it will work with mine. So I’ve put one on order

Word of warning on the GBX packs - give it a charge occasionally as if the battery depletes over time the BMS kicks in and won't allow you to charge it, it's a known problem that Noco seem to be ignoring. I recently bought a 'dead' GBX 75 from Ebay for £50 and fixed it, as it had this exact problem. There is a fairly simple fix if it shuts down - widely shared on youtube. If it does fail, Noco are quite generous with warranty and let you keep the old unit after you confirm you cut the leads off it and disposed of it, you never know, you may end up with 2 booster packs. Don't ask me how many I have L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division. |

Interesting. I wonder if it just affects the GBX or if the GB ones are also affected in the same way. Not to tricky a fix if it breaks by the look of it. Just needs a low charge putting on the + and direct - on the battery. I’m sure I’ve got a low wattage power supply somewhere in a drawer I could do that with.

The Shiney has come back from the dealer, serviced and has the EGT done under warranty. For info it shows 0.7h of labour for the job on the ticket. So its was about a £200 job with the part for the warranty company.

When I needed a fuel tank shield I asked Duckworths and they said it had been on back order for months and would likely never become available again...

I ordered a Fuel tank guard for my SDV6 L494 begining of October and it was on backorder, but turned up on 29 October, so it would seem that they are still being produced.

The GB models suffer from a different problem, that certainly isn't an easy fix!! As you say the GBX is an easy fix, I've got an avalanche backpack which is LiIon and suffers the same issue. L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division. |

I remembered the other morning that back in Nov I had had a call, while I was busy with something, from LR experience in Rockingham saying I had an unused voucher……

So after much deliberation I decided to keep the 405, but that itch for something new and the fact we are juggling some work vehicles about has forced me into a decision.
