Aux socket query.

Hi All,

The Aux socket sound level is not very high. I've seen from old posts that someone found some kind of booster but all of the links have long expired so does anyone have any current solutions please?
I also noticed that volume control on the radio unit has no effect on the sound level so the only control is from the iPhone (in this case an old iPhone 6 as it's the only device I could find which had a headphone socket). Is this correct?
I'm raising this query because I want to install Apple Car Play and according to the chap who will be installing it states that the model he's looking at will require the Aux socket.
Any other solutions will be gratefully received.

Apologies - the volume control on the radio does indeed work but turning up to max is still quite low. Range Rover 4.2 SC

In my car (2012), while the ignition is on but not the engine, the Aux audio only goes so high. However, when you start the engine it goes much louder. I've got a cheap bluetooth to AUX adapter plugged in and it works fine, once you start the engine.

I’ve got my CarPlay unit permanently cabled to the rear Aux socket and the volume range is perfectly acceptable .

If you find that you need extra volume, it would be easy to conceal one of these amps to boost the level.
