Unfortunately solar panels would have to be on the front of our house and they are just too ugly for the level of payback. For now. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Thanks Jack, it seems from everyones experience that without having the battery charged the L460 hybrids do return the best MPG, as I expected. It's a decision about offsetting the cost of the purchase vs day to day fuel efficiency it seems! Thanks again

We have an average-sized 6kWh solar array connected to a 17.2kWh battery, enough for us to run the house for a day. We also have a home car charger.

With Octopus Intelligence Go, electricity between 23:30 and 05:30 is 7p per kWh. When the car gets plugged in, Octopus allocates an overnight time slot to charge the car to a set level by a certain time. So for me, it's 80% charge by 7 am. The solar battery is also set to charge overnight, so by 5:30 it's at 100%. After 05:30 the house runs off the battery. Solar generated during the day tops up the battery and the excess goes back to the grid, who pay 15p per kWh. At 23:30, the house switches to using electricity from the grid, rinse and repeat. 2024 P550e Autobiography

I have thought this myself, as I find, when pushed the P550e is very quick. I'm sure the P460e is more than powerful enough.

However, I found price-wise (after discounts) that a P550e was similar in price to a P460e AB. This may be due to the 550e only being available in AB spec, whereas the 460e is available in SE, HSE and AB.

I managed to get a better deal on a new 550e than most new 460e AB. 2024 P550e Autobiography

I have the P550e, and whilst it's a fantastic car, I'm sure I would be just as impressed by the P460e.

There are times - usually on a long motorway journey - when I do miss the torque of a big diesel, but given how many shorter local journeys I do on electric, you cannot beat it. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

I'm toying between p460e HSE versus P550e AB and therefore there is a fairly big £ difference, versus 460AB and 550AB.

Germany 2019 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Corris Grey

I collected 10.000 mls in three months on German Autobahn, Swiss & Italian alps with my P550e.
For me it’s the smoothest RR I’ve ever owned.

The ride is comfortable and rather gliding, with surprisingly precise and direct steering. The vehicle oscillates slightly in the longitudinal axis, which is typical of RR, but should be a little less pronounced for my taste, especially as it is still present in dynamic mode.

As I have never driven an L460 without dynamic response, I would definitely recommend testing one beforehand.

For my taste, the driving feel of the P550e is perfect and balanced, it just shouldn't be any less damped and precise.
