This looks interesting, especially if like me you already have Makita 18v drill and spare battery.

Apologies for taking this off topic, but I agree Alistair, my kids bought me a Makita tyre inflator that uses the same 18v battery and it is brilliant., takes a virtually flat tyre up to 36psi in minutes, no problem

Now I'm tending to do many more shorter trips in the FF I'm starting to come up against the oil dillution issue much sooner than before. It used to be around 6months or 6000 miles and I used to gat a special price from the dealer which wasn't much more than it would have cost me just for the oil and filter and I just didn't fancy the mess either. Now it's only been about 3000 miles since the last service and oil change and I'm getting the service warning coming up. The dealer's special rate isn't available any more and I've no desire to pay them over £300 for an oil change every few months when it seems like such a straightforward job and no lying on my back on the drive Hence I've just bought one of these pumps myself. Looks ok but will find out in a couple of weeks when I do my first FF oil change. Oil and filter purchase next. Had a look on the Opie site for the Petronas Syntium LR spec oil and just wondered what peoples views are on the price range of oils which, essentailly are all of the approved LR spec. Prices seem to go from £60 for 10L of Petronas to almost £150 for the Motul. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography (2021-2024) - Santorini Black 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster (2016-2021) - Santorini Black |

If you are changing oil due to fuel contamination then just buy the cheapest C1 5w-30. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I agree. I usually buy premium oil, but it looks like I might be doing 2k oil changes so I’ll be buying cheaper brands. |
