Would it not be a permanent live with the ignition on/car running ?

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you mean , but as far as I am aware there should be a permanent live other than the ignition live which can be used for battery charging purposes etc, |

The live feed is permanent even with car off and locked on pin 9.

As far as I'm aware, on later vehicles with the advanced BMS (2010 onward), relays cut circuits to the rear when the BCM sleeps.

You don’t need to modify anything on the later cars.

I charge my 2011 4.4 TDV8 via a Ctek MXS10 and an adaptor into the 12pin electrics.

Thanks for all the help everyone. It was in fact as v8 Bob suggested, fuse 48 in the front fuse box which had blown. I incorrectly thought that the trailer fuses were in the rear compartment.
