Please can someone post a full copy of the N759v2 recall (without the red pen).

I want to take it to my dealership who have told me that they will be working to the original recall document when they inspect my vehicle for damage.

Interestingly, when they called me this morning to inform me that my car was too old for me to have a courtesy / hire car, they also said that they have already ordered both knuckles and that any other damaged parts would be ordered only when inspected Rolling Eyes

hERE YOU GO BUT MY LETTER SEEMS TO BE ALITTLE DIFFERENT?

Mine is with Stratstone now. Was told today that both knuckles were being replaced (one had failed when driving the car) along with the drivers side strut which was damaged when the suspension collapsed. .. They actually drove it into the workshop from the customer car park as they said that their skids were too small for the size of my car. I queried why only one strut was being replaced as it was good practice for them to be replaced in pairs on any vehicle, yet alone one the size if the FF and was told that wasn't needed!!

I called Marshall Peterborough as soon as I saw on the forum that it was going to happen and it went on Topix (three weeks ago) booked in for today.

Got a call to yesterday to say that they have a few of these vehicles coming in (!!!!) and 'just in case' they need to be replaced they wanted to have the knuckles etc. on hand but....... wait for it ........ the parts aren't available Banging Head !!!

He was honest and said the recall was unexpected (arent they all?) and so there simply isn't enough parts around as 'everyone' is chasing around 75 sets he said, honest but doesn't give much confidence Shocked

Now booked in for the end of the month - I wonder if I will get another call ?

At least its acknowledged now and in the open , no more wear and tear type conversations after a problem which is positive.

I did point out that if there was a problem and I'd acted promptly (which I have) and there was a delay due part non-availability and then there was a subsequent problem it would be entirely their liability - he acknowledged that and sad Land Rover were aware of the part problems. L405 4.4 V8 Vogue SE Santorini Black

I just contacted Jardine in Slough about the recall and they have my car booked for early next month.
Due to the year off the car (2016) and the chassis number, they tell me that it is initially just a inspection and I can wait while it's done. Hopefully, they will find nothing but if they do I will be grateful to have averted a serious crash risk.

Let's hope I get the same result.

JLR rang this afternoon from Birmingham and asked that I now leave the car with them, rather than wait for it, as they "don't know how long it will take". They are providing a taxi to bring me home and will collect me to pick the car up again.
To my untrained little brain this sounds as if either:
They are inundated with checks, or
I will end up without a car for a few days until parts (if needed) are available.
Don't know about anyone else but if JLR issue a safety recall, shouldn't they be suitably stocked for a fair number of cars actually needing replacement parts?
I did think it funny when the girl who rang me immediately informed me that calls are recorded.
Perhaps they get a few irate customers these days...... Shocked Shocked
